Stephen Gray

President, CEO

Stephen earned a B.S. degree with an emphasis in Genetics and Plant Breeding at the University of Illinois. He worked as an assistant plant breeder for several corporations with programs utilizing 85-114 DRM genetics, and he participated in several research station startups. In 2005, he founded Gray Research Production, which grew out of Gray Farms, a centennial farm that has been in his family for over 100 years.

Sentinel Seeds hybrids were developed by Stephen and his team at Gray Research Production over the course of sixteen years. Germplasm from around the globe was combined, carefully bred, and rigorously tested for superior performance. These unique hybrids are not only designed to maximize your yield and lower your costs—they are designed to preserve the past and secure the future of farming and our food sources.
